Removing and replacing 245 gutter trim (going from chrome to black) 200 1990

I've just acquired a set of the 245Ti black trim for the roof gutter rail. I like the idea of having black trim up there instead of the chrome it currently has.

Here's the only advice I've gotten so far:

"the trick is bottle openers.
The body shops use taped up steel ones.
I like a pair of the alloy ones.
You hook it from the bottom, flex it down to open it,and lift it off.
Using 2 means you can do a little bit more at a time, and you don't have to let it go,and cut the paint with the edge of the drip rail trim."

Anybody have experience taking these off and putting on new ones?
