Smoke after repairing flame trap hose 200 1985

I removed the hoses and the new one was clean, the small vacuum signal hose and the orfice was clear as well. The Flame Trap was also clear, and the oil seperator box had no obstruction. Last night I had shot some non flammable solvent down through the oil seperator box, since I don't know how long it had been running with the hose split. Note to self: never shoot brake parts cleaner into the crankcase, since it does not burn, but smokes like Hell.

I drained the oil, and spun off the filter, and let the whole mess drain out, and flushed it with a partial quart (nearly full) of Mobil 1. With the new filter in place, a new seal ring on the plug, 4 fresh quarts of Mobil 1, and a new oil filler cap gasket, I fired it up, and drove it 5 miles, and back. No smoke at all. I guess it was the solvent that I shot into the crankcase doing the smoking. I sure learned a lesson there. HEY Y'ALL, DON'T SPRAY BRAKE PARTS CLEANER INTO THE ENGINE.
