insanity has set in -- third brake bleed did not work 700

The good news? I can now bleed the 745's brakes blindfolded.
The bad? I'll still have a soft pedal.

So, I have a couple of questions:
1)is it possible that my newly rebuilt (and installed) caliper is the cause of my pain?

2) Would it help to have the car running while depressing the brake pedal? because it's hard when I pump it with pressure applied from the Power Bleeder, but it goes soft once I start the car.

3) Is it possible that some loss of pressure in the Power Bleeder (which does not hold at 20psi for more than a minute or two is responsible?

4) since i do have brakes, albeit soft ones, can I rule out the master cylinder being at fault?

Anyway, it seems ridiculous to try much further but i'll also feel ridiculous taking it to a shop to do this.

Thanks for your (continued) help.

Chris
