Final Drive ratios after installing OD in a PV(Duett) 444-544

Hello All:
Ive been reading the posts lately about the OD swaps into a PV. Ive got that done in my Duett...a couple of years ago in fact. Its wonderfully helpful to lower the revs and relative busy-ness of the engine on the highway. My car still has the stock B18A single carb motor, but there is a 2130 B20 waiting to be assembled for the car.

The P210 has a 4.56 final drive and the 544 has a 4.10. Using a rough approximation of the OD ratio at 0.8, final drive ratios come out to 3.65 and 3.28 respectively. I use 185x15 tires on my Duett as the factory put bigger tires on the wagon than they did with the sedan. When Im on the local freeways, I still notice that (although better)the car seems very busy at highway speeds.

So Im wondering if anyone has changed final drive ratios, and if so what did you go to and how has it worked out for you. I was thinking about something like a 3.9.

Thanks for any help and/or comments.
Bob
