I have just acquired an 89 245 as a replacement for my 88 745 that I demolished in a crash on the ice last January. I had hoped to find another 745, because of the huge collection of parts I have, but good ones have become VERY hard to find, especially with a manual transmission. Therefore, I will be selling most of my collection of parts, keeping only those which are relevant to the 240. Ideally, I would prefer to sell them all together as one lot, at a bargain price, to someone who can make use of them (or sell them on ebay, or whatever) but I would consider selling individual items as well, on a cash-and-carry basis only (I'm located approximately 90 minutes west of DC) if anybody is searching for that one elusive part. I haven't started sorting yet, so I don't really know exactly what I will be offering, but it is most of the parts from four cars, an 86 sedan, 88 and 90 wagons, and a 90 GLE 16V sedan, minus, of course, the parts that also fit a 240, damaged parts that weren't worth saving, and those items I have already sold or put to use. I will post a list when the picture becomes clearer.
I also have an 87 745 GLE project car for sale---163K miles, silver with red leather, a nice clean one owner car, but it needs a heater core and a bunch of other stuff. I'm asking $500 for that one, with all the parts needed to fix it up. It would make a very nice car for someone willing to put the time and effort it needs into it. See my Brickboard classified ad for more details. I can email pictures if anyone is interested.
I might even consider selling my 780. It's a project too, a 90 turbo with 140K miles, silver with tan interior, straight and unrusted, needs a head gasket, a windshield, a couple of other minor things, plus it could really stand to be repainted due to stone chips and other minor flaws. It has a perfect set of 7x15 BBS style wheels (crosshatched mesh--original Volvo accessory) which are negotiable if I sell the car (I would sell it either with or without them) as is the price, either way.
Finally, my 89 244 will also be for sale shortly, when I am ready to switch over to driving the wagon. I will post an ad with a full description (and a special Brickboard price) when I am ready to sell it, before it goes on Craigslist and in the local Want Ads.
I have too many projects, and too much going on right now, and am prepared to make some deals to clear some of this stuff out, as it is all too good to go for scrap metal, but I need to open up some space around the house.
Thanks.
