Alternator replacement , 1990 240 200

My alternator seems to have gone; No output voltage, it may just be the regulator, but I need the car Monday morning.

I'm picking up a new one in the morning. All i can find locally is a complete alternator at pep boys for 116.

I got the old one out, but its a struggle to remove, I removed the cooling fan, and shroud, and finally got it out.

Do most people remove the radiator outlet hose to remove the alternator? I didnt want to deal with the coolant.

Any tricks to reinstall? if someone has photos of the adjusting set up so i can make sure it goest back the right way, thanks.. Bentley is not that explicit, it just says remove.
