Castorl 10W40 (Dino) V/s Mobil 1 10W40 (Synth) 200

I recently switched to Mobile 1 Synthetic 10W40 from Castrol 10W40 (Dino). Now I can hear the valve clatter or some distinct mechanical sound (like a Diesel Motor) for 2-3 minutes on the start (When it is gone One can clearly feel the difference) on the other hand I think that engine is smoother in the driving band (2k- 3.4K ) and has a sweet hummmm to it. I was running synthetic before last 4 oil changes . There was a miniscule leak, tried Auto Rx , it was gone and now again back to synthetic. The primary motivation is to have a longer OCI in the range of 5k - 6k and still have better protection .

Have you guys tried Mobil 10W40 and what has been your experience. I think it was not available last year.
I also thought of using Shell Rotella 5w-40 which might be have been a good choice.
