Fuel Tank Replacement Procedure ? 900 1994

A leak developed near a seam on the fuel tank so I went to Autozone for a plastic tank patch kit. Boy, is that the stickyest stuff in the world! It is still working, but I became concerned that it might give out while on a trip so I bought a used tank.

The FAQ only describes how to replace the straps. Can anyone provide any hints, tips, or procedure for replacing the whole thing? For example: What and how to remove the connections on the top side? Where does the filler pipe connect? The tank is very strangely shaped-- is there a problem manuevering it out and back into position?

Thanks in advance.
