Idle problem 200 1992

Hello all,

I've reading the postings about problems with idling. Followed many advises and tests recommended, but the problem hasn't gone away yet.

My initial project was to take care of a low idle at cold starts. it got to normal after a minute or two though.

Here is what I've done:
Removed and cleaned the TB and IAC with FI cleaner. I replaced the gasket too.
Adjusted the TB butterfly as indicated in the Bentley Manual
Adjusted TPS. Also tested TPS as indicated in Bentley manual. It tested good
Replaced Coolant Temperature Sensor

After doing everything listed above the idle stays seems to be normal but lowers when I turn the A/C on and put the car in gear I also notice that the engine dies when I turn the steering wheel all the way until it stops.

The car idles high when the A/C is off and the transmission is in park or neutral.

I also notice that the check engine light sometimes stays on at cold starts and goes away as soon as I give it gas. By the way I still have the low idle at cold starts.

My car idled fine and self adjusted properly under load before I cleaned those components.

Jorge
