1991 744ti radiator rust issues 700 1991

so there's some rust in my radiator... i've been running straight water for a while to see how much rust i was getting... it's not super bad... but still it's not good either.

i was thinking about flushing it this weekend and putting coolant back in as i've noticed it running just a tad hot with just water in it. i'm going to seattle sunday so i'd like to do it before then. i put a 3 core in my 244 glt and have experience with this but was wondering if there's any weird things i should look out for since i've never changed coolant in the 744 before.

i've heard that there's some products that you can put in the radiator that helps decrease or stop rust. do any of these work? anyone had any luck with a particular product?

besides flushing it and putting in new coolant anyone have any other suggestions?

thanks!
