Seems I shouldn't have waited so long, but the car gets light usage and M-1 is touted for extended motor oil change intervals, so...

There were no problems prompting the flush, only my conscience. The old stuff looked reasonably clear coming out the vinyl hose, but the differences in the photo below make it obvious that it was time for fresh fluid.
