No Start Problem 700

I replaced the ignition switch and the same symptoms recur. As my wife was asking about my progress I wiggled the fuse block and lo and behold the car started! It ran OK for a month and now has the same symptoms as before.

Here's some really weird stuff. Tapping hard on the brake pedal will bring up all the lights on the dash an then turning the key results in a CLICK but no starter cranking. Turn the key a second time and only the ABS light and brake bulb light come on. Turn the key to off and the lights glow dimly. The only thing that will turn them off is moving the shifter to neutral and back.

Sound like the neutral safety switch? I'll try that and the connector for it first. If that doesn't work I'm afraid I'll get into changing the fusebox.
