Lots of water in exhaust, good compression numbers... 700

Hey all,

I have a '92 744 w/Regina, and its got about 122k miles on it. It seems to be leaking coolant. I haven't seen any leaks, but there seems to be quite a lot of water vapor from the exhaust, even the motor warmed up. If the motor is revved, water spits out. There is no steam, however, and I checked the compression. The numbers were good: about 185 psi +/- 5 or so on all the cylinders with no oil added. I don't seem to be noticing a sweet odor from the exhaust. I'm not quite sure what to think... I am going to attempt a leakdown test soon. Maybe its just water in exhaust system? There does seem to be rusty residue in the water that drips out, if that means anything. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Regards, Jon 'Uncle Olaf'
