floor pan repair replace question 444-544

John and George are right on. Dont overlap. If you cant weld get someone to help. My 210 floore (front) had the sides rotted out. My welder cut back more than was rusted,He than shaped a floor pan I got from Swedish treasures to fit the hole. He spot welded the edges then completed complete edge welding. This type of butt welding will stop any more rust. Of course after welding you must paint and rust proof.Three years now and no rust. I also drilled drain holes in the floor to let water drain out.
Good luck
John
