This is a Scan-tech FT kit I got from FCP. It comes with 1.) 6" bent rubber hose, 2.) black plastic thingy (FT itself?), and 3.) white plastic thingy with lots of holes. People recommend the metal version, so i ordered that (brass-colored).

Are these the main things I need to change out? Last time I had this service done, the Volvo tech replaced this 0.25" (?) diameter 8"-10" (?) long hose, which I think connects to the small nipple piece on part #2.

Is there a write-up or a step-by-step guide to changing the FT? I wanna make sure I do everything RIGHT the FIRST time!
