side mirror glass removal - 900 1995

My side mirror got clipped, even though the bits are relatively intact, I need to replace a few of the things that anchor the glass to the motor. Found a complete mirror assembly on ebay for $15.
How do I remove the mirror glass? This is NOT the fixing with rotary star ring that you shift with a small screwdriver. I've dealt with that system on other cars, and this is not it. The fixing here is four conical prongs that insert on a ring attached to the motor assembly. Each of the four prongs is surrounded by two retaining clips. I don't see how I can get the thing separated.

Thanks for the advice,

Ted
