Funny lag on deceleration?? 900 1995

Hi, I know someone knows exactly what is causing this so I thought I'd ask!!! I've go a 95 960 wagon and It's acting funny on deceleration--mostly noticible at speeds exceeding 45mph. When I let of the gas pedal just a little it seems to lag, the tac drops a little and it makes for a slighty unsmooth ride (almost like I'm slightly applying the brakes). So I also noticed that just while in park and reving the engine it acts the same-- at about 3000 rpm or so if I slightly let off the gas pedal, rpm will drop quickly- not nice and smooth as my foot is acting. The car has about 140k miles and other than this runs very well with lots of power. Anyways, I appreciate any and all help on this !! Thanks, zak
