Fuel pump... 700 1990

Hey Chad,

The problem you have is likely an issue with the in-tank pump or its hose. The under car pumps can make noise if there is a hole in the hose (which often happens), they can also make noise if the in-tank pump getting worn or is not working. A in-depth description about troubleshooting is in the FAQ under 'Fuel System'. If you get into the fuel tank, replace the hose and the filter sock that goes on the pump. This is also explained better than I can in the same section of the FAQ. You said that the car still stalls, this is most likely the power stage as we discussed before. Changing the filter was a good start. You may have not needed to change the pump, but if was the original, it was likely tired.

Best regards, Jon
