Will lacquer thinner in cylinder free a seized engine? 200 1983

Just got to wondering it that might save my 1983 245GL stick w/200K.

Dump some lacquer thinner into each sparkplug hole, wait a few days, see if breaker bar can turn engine. No? Dump in a little more, wait a week, try again.

On a tangent, I am wondering about putting a little lacquer thinner into the gas tank of a Honda power generator that I forgot to put in the Sta-Bil after Hurricane Rita in 2005. Now it won't start, and one of these hurricanes will hit closer to home than the one yesterday (Eduard). Put maybe a half-cup into 2 gallons gas?

What do you think?

Regards and thanks,

Bob
