86 760 occasionaly loses power off a stop sign 700

My 760 wagon lost power coming off a stop sign last week. I immediately begin pumping the gas pedal and the car never died but seemed to come back to life. It felt like a carburetor car would if it lost fuel pressure. Not a sudden die like ignition loss. I had an all most new bosch main pump and decided to put that in and in the process bought a new in tank pump. Yesterday I drove about 150 miles back and forth over a small mountain pass and I really pushed to car to see if it was okay. It ran fine but seems to have less power then my older 760 sedan. But then when I got within a mile of home the same thing happened, I could barely make it through an intersection. But it picked up and made it home fine.
Today I replaced the fuel pressure regulator all though the old one did not look to old. I have yet to try it but don't really think that was the problem. The old one held vacuum when tested.

My question is could this be the throttle switch and what effect does the throttle switch have when it goes out? Or could it be Mass air meter? I have accumulated all these extra parts over the years from pull and save and it doesn't cost anything to replace except for the time.

The turbo is the next thing I am planning on replacing when I find a decent one at pull and save. It makes some small whine noise when cold and then goes away. Does anyone think the turbo could malfunction and cause car to feel as if it is dying through an intersection? Thanks for any input people have. Doug
