Tailgate Wire Harness 200 1992

After 5 years with broken tailgate wire harness, finally replaced them today and all seems well. As others have said, it's a pain in the butt doing it by yourself. My biggest hassle was putting the hatch back on, until I got my wife to help hold the tailgate in place so the hinges were in proper position so I could screw them back in.

The directions from: http://www.swedishbricks.net/TechTips/tailgateharness.html
were good, although I didn't need to pull the new wires up through the hatch as they suggested (in fact it didn't work for me, getting jammed somewhere). I was able to force them down from the access holes at the top of the hatch with relative ease on the driver side and more of a struggle on the passenger side tailgate.

Anyway, this is a minor project for the experts, but for other less experienced folks like myself, figured I'd pass on my experience.

Jeff
