760 w/ IRS parking brake repair questions. 700 1988

I recently got into replacing the parking brake cables on my '88 764T, but ran into a few problems:

1) The center cable that I purchased from FCP (and which looks exactly the same as what's sold everywhere else) doesn't seem to be right, as the threaded part for the adjuster is way too big to fit the hardware from the original cable.
2) The piece holding the driver side cable and the center cable together can't be reused, but I can't find it or part number for it anywhere. Same with the little piece that anchors the quadrant to the differential.

Has anyone else run into these same problems? Any suggestions?
