This car (1960 544-> B16 converted to B18/M40, 6V converted to 12V using only a resistor) is not worth saving as a whole, so I'm parting it out. I want to save as much as possible.
Email me (malloy1_at_prodigy_dot_net) if you need anything from it. I'll let you know if it's there, and what kind of shape it's in (I'll send you picture if you want). Pretty much anything you need, I'll be happy to grab or cut-out.
Cost is pretty much what you think it's worth plus shipping, figure in labor time (i.e. easier it is to get, the less the labor). I'm in the Denver, CO area.
Somethings that are pretty good:
-Gas tank has been cleaned out, no rust or gunk at all inside, outside has been painted. It does have a dent on top of the tank?
-6V gas level sender. Will work on a 12V gauge from what I understand
-Complete set of headliner bars, plus the headliner plates
-Good dash
-Good switches
-A couple of 6V wiper motors and mechanisms
-Good glass except front windshield, rear window is out with trim, pop-out side windows and door glass.
-Good chrome (minor dent's)
-A couple of front and rear bumpers. I may keep the front bumper if I can piece together something that will work for my P210.
-Front rails have no rust. I can cut them out if anybody needs them
-Rear fenders look good, but seems to be rusted at the front-I'll take them off if somebody thinks it's worth it. The driver's rear looks like it's from a 444-> has a small hole where the taillight would be on a 444.
-Good taillights, the housings have some cracks in them. Looks like the housings are made of pot metal?
-The driver's door looks like it's from a newer 544-handles and everything are there. I don't think the door is worth using, but any of the hardware is good (i.e. glass, hinges, inside trim).
-The passenager's door has a little rust on the very bottom. The skin may be worth using, everything else is good except the window crank is broken.
-Interior is OK, but not original. If you need something to use for awhile, the door and rear panels might be an answer.
-Rearend is in good shape
-Steering box seems good
-There is also a B18 head, and some pistons (I think B18, can measure them if anybody wants them) in the back of the car.
-Anything you are looking for, let me know (please just email me, and not post back to thread), I'll get back with you about if it's there and what kind of shape it's in.
-The guy I got the car from drove it until some vandals broke the front windshield. He has been using the car to mock up somethings for a 544 race car that he is putting together.
