Cleaning/fixing vinyl seats 200 1993

240 - tan vinyl in filthy shape, esp stitching.

1. Cleaning - searched archives and found diluted Murphy's Soap solution that can be left to sit and dissolve dirt. Also read about using mineral spirits for lifting all debris, but need for follow up w/ non-ammonia glass cleaner to get rid of oily residue. Any other ideas? Meguiars and other products may be great for newer or cleaner vinyl.

2. Driver seat badly ripped - can cover w/ sheepskin etc. cloth (assume real vs. synthetic better) - but should large rips be sealed with duct tape first or perhaps a vinyl repair kit (in my case, kitS!) from a camping store to keep the integrity and shape of the foam under the vinyl from damage?!

Thanks -
