Flooded floor pans 900 1995

Hello again.

About 4 days ago, I got in my 95 960 and noticed there was a significant amount of water in both of the front floor pans. The night before there had been driving rain. The car was not driven in the rain but had been parked outside overnight.
I vacuumed out the water and drove around for about two hours with the a/c on full blast on the floor position. The carpet dried. It rained again last night and there was the same situation. Wet carpet. There are no visible signs that water is coming in from the outside other than the flooded floor pans.
I had an issue with a leaky windshield when I bought the car but thought I had this problem fixed. Could this be the windshield leaking or are these cars known to have other secret leaks that let in the rain water when the car isn't moving? Again, nothing else in the car is wet. There is no chemical smell to the liquid (like antifreeze for example).
Please help. I don't want to have mushrooms growing under my gas pedal or the floor pans rusting out.
