In Tank Fuel Pump Questions 200 1990

Hey Bricksters,

This time it is a 245, not in too bad shape actually.

How do I get the In Tank Fuel Pump out ?

Do I have to drop the tank ?

I took off the top access plate and the +12 VDC power supply wire to the electrical connection on the top of the Pump Assembly was corroded and fell right off without so much as touching the wires. Crumbled completely.

So, next observation = How to ge the pump off of the threaded mounting plate thing. It is unlike the others I have seen that use a large plastic nut to hold the assembly in the tank - NOT this one, it has a large rather thin nut (if I dare call it that).

Next observation=how do I get the pump assemby off > remember, this is a wagon.

Thanks ! CJ
