NGK plug number S90-V90

I use NGK plain copper plugs in the Red Block engines. I have not been impressed with the Bosch platinums in there. With the 960/S90 6-cyl, that's a pretty sophisticated (delicate?) ignition system, so I feel better sticking with the factory original plugs.

FCPGroton.com has a set of six genuine Volvo plugs for about $25. I ordered these and they came sealed in the usual blue-&-white Volvo parts packaging. They are tri-tipped (3 ground electrodes) and have "Volvo" imprinted on the ceramic shell. Have to be the real thing, no?

With these installed, the S90 averaged a tad over 30MPG(US)on highway portions of a recent trip, with fairly steady driving, but lots of hills and curves, mountain passes, etc. Hard to go wrong, I'd say.
