Volvo 940GLE/Injector Status Stays Open 900 1992

That injection system is multi port and not sequential so it should have just one driver in the ECU, if it is permanently grounded you will see all the injectors on continuously. You can also have a situation where the injector ground wires have rubbed through to ground somewhere and are holding the injectors open. Honestly, it is rare but I have seen both scenarios, rubbed through harness and faulty ECU holding them open or on full time. I guess the quickest way to figure it out would be to pull an injector connector and see if one leg goes right to ground, if it does then pull the connector at the ECU and see if it goes away, if it does you have a fault in the ECU, if it does not then the harness is grounded somewhere. I have definitely had some funky 16V ECU's in the past, it would not suprise me to hear that the control unit is the cause.
