update 200 1988

I tried to start her first thing and no luck. I dug out my green manual for the 2.2 system and began to systematicly check everything. Everything had the proper values either voltage or resistance wise.
When I got to the part in the manual to check the starter, she started right up and then died because the ECU was disconnected and prevented her from runnning.
I even swapped the ECU with a good spare. No dice.

After confirming everything else was working I put her back together and checked the timing and I think I found the problem. My DUMB-ass didn't tighten the distributer bolt down enough and the dist. rotated to about 3-4 BTDC. I reset it and started her up. She caught almost right away and I took her for a spin and she appeared to have her power return. But my idle still won't go below 900-1000 rpms no matter what I do.
