Ignition Key Question 900 1992

Posted a driveability question a while back an got it answered! Thanks!

I now have another question.

This vehicle is fairly new to me, so, I don't have a lot of history, but found out that with the vehicle in gear, you can turn off the ignition and remove the key from the vehicle entirely. I at first thought that it might be associated with the neutral safety switch some way (just had it replaced), but that seems to work as it should (as far as I know)... IE: I have to press the brake to take it out of park. Before replacing the NSS it wouldn't let you start it in park or neutral without wiggling the shifter, etc.

IS this an actual switch or tumbler problem?

THanks again guys;

randyB
