The local TUNER Club held a DYNO DAY today so I took advantage of it and got some surprising baseline numbers on my 780 TURBO ....
.... the engine in the 780 is rated at 187 HP at the flywheel with the TURBO + kit .... made 4 runs total ... 3 with a dragging parking brake got me 193 hp and 213+ Lb-ft of torque .... clearing the parking brake problem immediately produced 198.14 hp @ 218.62 lb-ft of torque ... but the engine laid down a bit due to heat soak .... Not bad for a 201,000 mile engine .... So I figure I can pretty well figure on 200 HP at the wheels as a starting point .... a lot of people were surprised and impressed. There may soon be some VOLVO TURBO cars showing up as TUNERS .... SLEEPERS R US !!!
