sunroof switch 1993 940 series question

What color is the plug on the end of the switch? As far as I know it should be the same. Did you swap the wires correctly? Did you test the "new switch to confirm it works properly? Try activating the switch and use an ohmmeter to check for continuity.

I'm assuming the '88 switch is from a 740. If it's from a 240 it wont work.
