is it easier 200

i also asked on the 900 board.

i have recently bought a 93 (940) wagon with a non working engine (230 non turbo/aw71L) to me anyway hiding an unknown as yet problem.

everything else as far as i can tell and am told works well.

is it easier to pull the engine and transmission together or separately?

i have a good working spare engine but am tempted to find out once out of the car what the trouble is. po states it did not overheat, just stopped running or turning over. nothing more useful from them. it does not turn over even with good battery. starter is not the problem. something is frozen or jammed or binding.

anyone have any good shortcuts to make this go quicker?
