ECU re-learning? 200

Do ECU's need to re-educate themselves after the battery has been disconnected for about an hour? I disconnected my battery to fix my temp compensating board, and noticed that the engine ran rough with poor idle for about one minute after I restarted. The car is tip-top...have had no problems; clean throttle body, no leaks, etc. After a minute she went back to herself and has been fine since. Was this the ECU awakening itself from a slumber?
