Err.. really? I must be mis-remembering that part... let me look again...

Ah... it's just the upper part that is not-removable - and that part comes out backwards anyway... I feel foolish.

I guess the curvature of the steering shaft will not present any issues during removal from the steering box.

I will say that opening up, disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling a spare steering box has been a very helpful experience. I understand how the adjustment nut and screw works now.
