headlight dimmer switch 780 700

Ok, problem solved.

First of all, the dimmer switch was bad. However, that did not explain the loose assembly.

When I removed the dimmer switch, I saw an empty threaded hole right under the middle of the switch. The mounting screw for the switch threaded right in. I dug up another screw and put it in. The assembly tightened right up. After installing the new switch, I took off the wiper switch from the other side. The screw was still in that side. I tightened it up and everything is fine.

thanks for the suggestions!
