pipe fitting

hello all. i've been trying to repair a leak in th power steering system of my '88 740 turbo. it was coming from a steel pipe connecting the gear to the center of the rack. i got one fitting off but the other one rounded out so i'm going to need an extractor to get it off.

i've been told by a mechanic that he cannot get this part in as it is only ever sold as part of a complete rack. he is pretty sure he can get the steel pipe but he'll still have to bend it before i can install it. this is assuming i can get a hold of a new pipe fitting.

this all seems like quite a hassle for such a small part. will an official volvo parts dealer carry this piece? i can't seem to find info on any official volvo dealers in my area (ontario). any help would be appreciated.

the only other thing i can think of is going to a wrecker and pulling a fitting off of a car there.
