pre-crash engine trouble

As i stated before i an undertaking a swap from my crashed 940 to a 740 wagon. before the crash my 940 was losing oil pressure. the oil light would come on at idle, and go away around 1500-1800 rpms. this got worse after a while and would not go off sometimes until 2000-2200- rpms my tech found no reason for this but confirmed that the light was correct. If anyone has any insght into this it would help me decide if i should salvage the 940 motor. thanks
