Fuel pump failure???? 900

Fuel pump relay is more common than the pump itself giving up.

Relays are a common failure item. I would be removing and resoldering the fuel pump relay and the radio suppression relay simply to clear them as suspects.

Did you happen to notice what the tach was doing while this was going on? How old it the RPM sensor? If the tach is registering zero when the engine lost power but was still spinning I would point my finger at it.
