Any problems using a non-ABS front hub? 900

I had to replace my ft. hub and pulled one from the junk yard. Thye told me that this one was compatable, yes it fits, but it does not have the ABS sensor ring on it. I pulled it around the block to make sure the wheel woud nott fall off and for the first few seconds heard the ABS doing its vibration thing but now does not do it. Is this going to hurt it until I bite the bullet and order a new one I guess.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Just the facts: I have a '94 940 and the hub came from a '90 740. Both were wagons.
