Fried pertronix unit 140-160

I working with a bosch 021 dizzy for a 142E. I noticed ignition problems and thought my coil might have overheated and failed during frequent no start cranking and tuning while trying to tune megasquirt.

While replacing the coil I traced a burned circuitry smell to my pertonix unit in the dizzy.

My question, what is the most likely error I made to cause such a failure, I'm hoping it was a stray 12V wire (got lots of extra wiresnright now due to Megasquirt converstion process)

thanks
Joel
