One time buck/hesitation when first driving then all is well until next drive 200 1984

This one is really driving me nuts. I posted a month ago but much has been done since then and still no solution. The car is a 1984 240 wagon, manual trans with 145K miles. Here is the problem in a nutshell or clamshell or whatever:

Start car hot or cold, drive a few feet in 1st gear and car bucks/hesitates/almost dies throws me into the windshield and then picks up and runs perfectly. This happens only once everytime I start the car and drive for a few feet. From then on, no problems all day long as long as I don’t turn the car off. Car starts instantly hot or cold. Idles great. Acceleration is great. No misses. No other hesitation. But as soon as I turn the car off and let it sit for a few minutes, the problem will reoccur when I restart. A single severe hesitation (just to emphasize, it is not a little miss) and then the car runs beautifully from then on.

The following parts were replaced either new or from a same year problem free, solid running 240 (I have a few others).

- Fuel injection control unit (two different units just to be sure)

- Ignition control unit

- Fuel pressure regulator

- Air mass meter

- Fuel injection wiring harness and ignition control wiring harness

- Air control valve

- Coolant Temp sensor

- Knock sensor

- Main fuel pump and filter

- Tank fuel pump, rubber hose and sock

- Replace and adjust throttle position sensor switch

- Replace distributor, cap and rotor (not plugs or wires)

- Checked timing set to 12 degrees

- Check and clean fuses in #4 and #6 slots

- Replaced both main and fuel pump relays

- Checked all hoses for leaks including accordian AMM, IAC etc.

- Cleaned flame trap

As near as I can tell there is nothing left that can be replaced. In desperation I followed the complete shotgun repair approach.

I also had the car over at a shop and they spent 6 hours trying to figure it out with no luck. They aren’t Volvo specialists but they are a pretty good shop.

At this point, I can only hope to come across someone who has had this identical problem or take it to one of a number of the Volvo specialty shops or the dealer.

Any ideas?
