Rt tail light not working. 700 1989

Mine does this in fits and starts. I can hit a bump and all of a sudden my bulb-out indicator comes on (or goes off...). If I wiggle it, it might come back on. This suggests to me that a ground may be at fault....

Does the color of the holders matter? Does it affect polarity? In the lights on my sedan, I don't have a standard-looking configuration - maybe some of the holders were replaced. I think one of the holders at the right on mine is white... and it's giving me the issues, I think.

Anyway, I've considered replacing my assembly, too, but that may open up a can of worms like yours!
