help 700 1989

Okay I am about at the end of my relationship with my 745GL...HELP

This last week I have installed a new radiator, lower hose, fan switch, fluids, fixed up the preheat hose, cleaned the throttle body and readjusted throttle, and checked my spark plugs gap.

I still have not been able to figure out why my car will start sometimes smooth as butter and other times it seems like it is running only on 3 cylinders. The engine and car are jumping all over the place. Why... what is going on?

While it was warming up it was blowing smoke(?) out the exhaust. Is it running rich? or what?

After a minute or so it warms up it smooths out and runs smooth so far. There is a noticeable clicking in the engine.

I still think it is not running as efficient as it has in the past. MPG are down.

Anyone got any tips, suggestions, advice?
