'72 - '74 Short Shift Lever Needed 140-160

To use a cover from an M40 on an M41 you will need to drill and tap a hole in the cover for the 4th gear switch. You don't want to omit this switch---engaging overdrive in first gear (to say nothing of reverse) is a quick route to major problems. There is a raised round area about 1" diameter cast into all the covers, in the correct location, but it's only drilled and tapped when that particular cover was originally installed on an M41.
