ABS light still a problem 900 1993

For a couple of months the ABS light on my '93 940 has been coming on intermittantly. I did the following efforts at troubleshooting the problem:

1) Pulled the front rotors and cleaned the speed sensors and sensor wheels (using brake cleaner, a soft cloth and conprossed air) with no effect.

2) Based on some forum member suggestions, I checked the resistance of the front wheel sensors (just over 1,000 Ohms each).

3) I attempted to use the ABS diagnostic system. However, upon placing the connector in socket 3 of box A, the code light would immediately come on (very faintly) but would not display any codes.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Henry
