Replacing Tailgate Struts on 760 wagon - tips? 700 1990

I got a bunch of parts in the mail today (or at least my UPS tracking number says I did) and I plan on replacing the tailgate struts first when I get home, since they have been annoying me most.

Who's done this? Anyone have any tips or tricks for me? Is it straighforward? Easy or a PITA? I ask because the hood struts on my Bimmer were a PITA. Really it was only a PITA because it couldn't be done by one person alone - one person had to hold the hood above "full open" while a second had to install the struts. Are my wagon tailgate struts going to be similar, easier, or harder? (Hopefully not harder, heh)
