how quiet b230ft may be? 900

95 944T 129.5K auto trans.

I've noticed recently that my engine is somewhat noisy. I admit it's not a new car but still was meaning to ask a question here.
How quiet is your engine? What causes the excessive noise usually? Belts/Mounts/Engine itself/Vacuum leaks?
I do not know if my mounts are original but they seem to be fine, not collapsed and not leaking. Vacuum measured with a boost gauge is in the normal range.
I replaced the belts about a year ago.
Maybe various bushings for the mechanisms that drive these belts are bad.

When I sit in the car I hear a muffled sound that resembles the chopping sound of the helicopter. It's not loud but it's there.

I wonder how normal it is? For sure some noise should be there, but just how much of it?

Also when the car idles it seems to shake a little? Is it a vacuum leak most likely?

HOw much fluctuation in RPMS or boost gauge reading should I get. Boost gauge needle shakes a little too.

thanks
