breather box leaking 200 1993

So about two years ago, I replaced my breather box with a new one from FCP Groton (the old one was packed pretty solid with oil and crud). I had an oil leak after putting in the new one, and I assumed it just hadn't sealed properly to the engine. When I got around to pulling it to fix it, I discovered the new breather box was split at the the seam. I didn't have my receipt, and didn't want to deal with the hassle, so I just ordered a new one. I still had a leak, which has gotten steadily worse, and though I haven't pulled it (don't really feel like doing it twice, I'll wait till I have a new one in hand), it seems to be leaking from the seam again!

Has anyone else experienced/heard of this? I'd hate to get a new one only to have to go through this yet again. Any idea if the split seam can be repaired? I'm going to contact FCP about whether its covered by any warranty, but I thought I'd see if you all knew anything about the part failure. Thanks!
