thoughts on what/where i'm having a coolant leak issue.
last winter i noticed major leak behind water pump spraying out onto alternator. but, after topping off with coolant it went away for next 6 months.
now back again.
seems to be behind water pump by maybe 3 " ( not sure of exactly where yet)between water pump and oil sensor. when coolant comes out it sprays horizontally onto alternator when engine running and drips onto ground with engine off. my view seems to be hidden by the front most exhaust header
am i missing a hidden water pump cause or is it like someone said maybe a head gasket gone bad? ( had head repaired ( cars not mine, though...)in 03 and no problems. or bad whatever else is down there. hmm
no smoke out exhaust, no excessive overheating though it do take quart of coolant mix a day. ???
just can't figure why it does it then stops doing it. cold mornings you'd think it would do it. not. today, running around town TRYING to get it to do it, it won't.
yeah, i know pressure test. but, first...
all ears now.
